If you're like most of us you enjoy the idea of being independent, working for yourself, firing a boss and, living anywhere you'd like. So...like the rest of us you decide to give online marketing a try.
Since it may be new to you it would be logical for you try to find some instructions or training on how to do it. If you've been at it for more than a week or two you've already discovered that joining an mlm or networking business will probably only teach you one thing, and that is, it's not as easy as it looks.
So, you continue to look for instructions. Why? Because your Sponsor or Upline won't or can't help you. And, few of your acquaintances want to know what you've gotten into. So the only recourse is training.
Now is the time you look online at Facebook. Seems to be people on there that know a thing or two so you click on their url and see all the wonderful things they can show you and then you'll be earning that independent income every week. Notice how they all act like 'gurus'.
So you buy their courses.
After being online for 30+ years myself I can tell you for a fact that most of these courses are very similar, they will tell you to do some certain things to start earning but, they rarely tell you how to do them. Once you find out their info is not helping you, you go online yet again to look for something, anything which will help you make money and which you'll probably buy.
It may be a digital product or audio lessons. You may even drive a few miles to attend a live Seminar. All of these cost money. In the meantime you're more than likely still buying products on auto-ship and paying monthly website fees to the BizOp you joined.
The only thing you've accomplished so far is you have money going out...not coming in and; you still go to your 9 to 5 job every week. This is partly why about 97% of people don't succeed in networking. They become frustrated, they spend too much money, they may convince themselves they aren't smart enough to work online and they realize that all that training they have gone through is all the same or similar information.
Think I'm kidding. Most 'gurus' teach the same stuff. That's how they make money. They tell you how successful you'll be if you only buy their magical course, you then send them money and they go on to the next person. Very few of them have ever built a downline or a networking team.
A few years ago I attended a conference of Top Level Motivational Speakers. Les Brown, Zig Zigler, Dr. Robert Schuller, even Barbara Bush was there. There were hundreds in attendance at the Charlotte Colosseum. The cost was close to $150 per person for the day and I had to drive 4 hours just to attend. Once it was over everyone was super pumped up and were determined to conquer the world. And each of us knew we would.
However, about a week after attending I realized something. Every speaker, no matter how successful they've been in Life, no matter how long their presentation was, and no matter how much money they'd made over the years; they actually had pretty much the same message. So...here it is...your lesson for today (no charge): "You can be great if you want to be!"
That's basically it. Couldn't tell you how much I've spent over the years just to essentially learn the same thing. You can be great if you want to be!
The only good thing about this is...it's the Truth!
